United’s inconsistency how costly to Andre Onana?

Manchester United are not in the best of positions in the Premier League, following successive defeats at the start of the season.

The team’s day 5 loss to Brighton has raised worries among fans.

The Red Devils suffered a 3-1 home defeat which placed the side in the 13th position.

The recent results come at a time when newly acquired Andre Onana’s individual performance has set him apart from his predecessors at the club.

In their previous match against Arsenal, the £47 million signing set a record as the goalkeeper with the most successful passes (42) in a single match.

Despite his heroics and nominations for the 2023 Ballon d’Or, Yashin trophy, and The Best FIFA Football Awards, a record of 10 goals conceded in five matches with United, does not reflect the Cameroonian’s brilliance.

Erik Ten Hag and the team have just two wins so far. The 2023 FA Cup finalists humbled Wolverhampton 1-0 in the opening game and later edged Nottingham Forest 3-2 after a two-nil loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

The Red Devils further lost against Arsenal, 3-1. The team suffered a similar defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
