Somali President sends his condolences to the diseased veteran

The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E Hassan Sheikh Mohamud sent his condolences to the family and the Somali people on the death of veteran Colonel Osman Mohamed Jelle.

The veteran who died in Melbourn, Australia has worked as the former mayor of Mogadishu, a notable member of Somalia’s Supreme Revolutionary Council and Minister of Animal Husbandry, and also worked with several diplomats.

Born in 1938 near a village in Jalalaqsi District of Hiiraan Region, Col. Osman had a long career that began with a scholarship from the Egyptian Government and ended in a lifetime of public service.

‘Colonel Osman worked with the government from the regime of Siad Barre to the later governments and served his nation to his full potential, I pray to Allah and ask him to grant him paradise (Jannah)’, President Hassan said.
