Minister of Foreign Affairs receives the Chargé d’Affairs of Djibouti Embassy and Ethiopian Ambassador to Somalia

Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Abshir Omar Jama, received the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of Djibouti to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Rachid Ibrahim and the Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Abdulfatah Abdullahi Hassan, on a courtesy visit.

The Chargé d’Affairs of the Djibouti Embassy offered his sincere congratulations to the new Foreign Minister, His Excellency Abshir Omar Jama, wishing him continuous success in the tasks delegated to him, praising the solid relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

For his part, Minister Abshir Omar stressed that Somalia stands by the government and the people of Djibouti, pointing to the distinguished relations that bind them and the importance of upgrading them to strategic partnerships of mutual benefit through coordinating efforts aimed at this.

The meeting between the Ethiopian ambassador and the Foreign Minister dealt with the prospects of bilateral relations between the two neighboring friendly countries and the joint endeavor to push forward levels of coordination by ensuring the continuity of consultation to further enhance all cooperation mechanisms in areas of mutual benefit.
