Somali security forces seize a vehicle loaded with explosives

The Somali Security forces have seized a vehicle loaded with explosives and intended to target the civilians in Mogadishu, the capital city.

The Spokesperson of the Somali Police Force, Sadik Ali Dudishe told the Somali National News Agency SONNA that the police have taken into custody the driver of the vehicle.

“The vehicle carried at least 10 Jericans full of gunpowder known as TNT which is used for explosions and the driver was caught by the security forces in Mogadishu,” spokesperson Dudishe said.

The type of the vehicle was a Toyota Landcruiser and had two plate numbers from the member states of Somalia which they intended to mislead the security forces.

The capture of the driver and the vehicle took place in Darussalam neighborhood in Mogadishu.
