A new tarmac road that will link Kaxda District to the rest of the capital was launched today by the Governor of Banaadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimcaale (Madaale). The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor of Banaadir Region for Public Works and the Deputy Governor of Banaadir Region for Security and Politics.
The road construction is part of a larger project called Build Your Country with One Dollar, which aims to improve the infrastructure and development of Somalia with the contributions of its citizens. The project has been praised for its innovative and inclusive approach to nation-building.
Mr. Madaale said that the new road will enhance the integration and mobility of Kaxda District, which is one of the newest districts in Mogadishu. He also said that his administration will continue to work on beautifying and modernizing the capital city, so that it can match the standards of other cities in the region.
