Ouagadougou: As of June 30, 2024, the Action Plan for Stabilization and Development (PA-SD) of the Cascades region recorded a physical execution rate of 50.78% compared to 39 , 17 for the financial aspect.

The Cascades regional dialogue framework (CRD) held a session in Banfora to examine and adopt the draft performance report for the implementation in the first half of 2024 of the action plan for stabilization and development. (PA-SD) of the region.

This performance report highlights the state of execution of the activities of local authorities, decentralized State services, development projects and programs, NGOs and development associations as of June 30, 2024.

According to this document, the various actors were able to implement 46 activities, 46 of which were partially completed and 48 of which were not started out of a total forecast of 140 activities, which represents a physical completion rate of 50.78%.

An amount of 11 billion 668 million 76 thousand 374 FCFA was mobilized for the implementation
of these activities, out of an initial forecast of 29 billion 790 million 54 thousand 242 FCFA, i.e. a financial achievement rate of 39.17%.

The Governor of the Cascades region, Florent Badabouè Bazié, congratulated the various actors and partners for the activities carried out despite the difficult working conditions linked to insecurity.

According to Mr. Bazié, it is true that there are reasons for satisfaction with these results. But, all stakeholders must get to work, remain mobilized, committed and stay the course so that at the end of the year ‘we have a more satisfactory and better achievement rate than last year’.

According to the Cascades Regional Director of Economy and Planning, Abdoulaye Ki, development actors in the region have carried out actions which have made it possible to have a satisfactory overall physical execution rate.

For him, there is hope that at the end of the year ‘we could have a better rate’.

As a reminder, this session is part of the mid-term review of the national develop
ment policy. This review is devoted to the assessment of the implementation of the action plan for stabilization and development (PA-SD) of the Cascades region.
